Chicago O’Hare Restaurants: Healthy Food

O’hare is one of those airports that I find extremely difficult to find healthy food options. It’s true that most restaurants offer a few healthy options on their menu, but it’s pretty obvious they are an after-thought and therefore not great. However, here are a few suggestions for the healthy traveler – anyone have any others?

Check out more healthy tips for O’Hare HERE.

Terminal 1

Salad Works (Terminal 1) Menu

Salad Works is my favorite spot to grab a quick salad at ORD. The produce is fresh and the portions are great. They have “suggested” salads, but you can also make your own.

Tortas Frontera by Rick Bayless (Terminals 1, 3 & 4) Menu

With 3 locations inside ORD and all of them serving local and extremely high quality ingredients, it’s a no brainer that we’d include Tortas Frontera on the list. Be careful not to over-indulge, but I do feel comfortable about the quality of the food here.

Terminal 2

Wicker Park Seafood and Sushi (Terminals 2 & 5)

I’m always a little skeptical of airport sushi (and admittedly haven’t eaten here), but I do know several people who say it’s legit so it’s going on the list!

Terminal 3

B-Smooth, Smoothies and Salads (Terminal 3) Menu

A quick service spot offering smoothies and make your own salads. The quality of the ingredients won’t knock your socks off, but it’s a good healthy option on-the-go.
