Healthy Food at DFW (Dallas Fort Worth Airport)

Dallas / Fort Worth International Airport offers quite a few healthy options. I’ve listed my favorites below, but there are plenty that I haven’t tried yet. DFW is always ranked highly on the food quality and options so there is certainly something for everyone. As always, I’m interested to hear any that I’ve missed so please comment in the comment box area on what your go-to healthy option is in DFW.

Terminal A

La Madeleine (A25)

This “Country French Cafe” is a national chain that serves salads, soups, sandwiches and other light fare. The menu offers plenty of vegetarian options and you can modify most of it. Pro tip – as of this writing, breakfast is served all day and it’s delicious!

Wild Bleu Mediterranean (A9)

One of my “tips and tricks” for staying healthy while traveling is to look for Mediterranean cuisine and while not 100% healthy (French Fries come with the gyros), it has plenty of healthy options and the food is delicious.

Terminal B

UFood Grill (B40)

UFood Grill sells itself as a healthy alternative to fast food. They have everything from burgers and fries to salads and quinoa bowls so you should be able to find something that sounds tasty.

Terminal C

Cereality (C6)

This is one of my favorite concepts and my number 1 recommendation for a quick and healthy snack at DFW. If you’re not familiar, Cereality, similar to frozen yogurt stores, allow you to pick a cereal and than add toppings (healthy and not) to customize your own bowl. You can also have yogurt or oatmeal as a base if you’re not interested in a cereal. My suggestion is to start with Cheerios as a base and add blueberries, strawberries, and chocolate chips.

Urban Taco (C22)

Urban Taco is another great option for Terminal C. It’s better than your average taqueria and also serves breakfast!

Terminal D

Sky Canyon (D14)

This Stephan Pyles restaurant is my number one recommendation if you have some time to sit and relax. It’s described as “Texas Style,” but for someone who doesn’t know what that means I’ll just say that I think it has something for everyone. The food quality here is the best in the airport.

Jamba Juice (D27)

Jamba Juice is a good option for grabbing something healthy and quick. Be careful to avoid the sugary juices they mix into the smoothies – try adding almond milk instead of juice.

Artisan Market (D25)

A relative new comer to DWF, Artisan Market offers breakfast and soups and sandwiches.

Bahn Shop (D31)

High quality, healthy baguettes and bowls. Bahn Shop is a must try if you have time for a quick meal in Terminal D. In my opinion, Bahn Shop has the second highest quality food in all of DFW (behind Sky Canyon) and there are plenty of options with fresh vegetables. Don’t believe me? Check out the picture below:

Terminal E
