Healthy Airport Food: Houston Airport Restaurants
3rd Bar Eating House (Full Service)
There are plenty of healthy seafood options at 3rd Bar Eating House. Just steer clear of the fried food and sugar sections of the menu. I suggest sticking with a salad or “Simply Grilled” item from the menu
Bullritos (Quick Service)
Bullritos is a build-your-own burrito place (think Chipotle) so you can make your meal as healthy as you want. Stick with the salad or the bowl (avoid the burrito) and load up on veggies, beans and guac!
The Fruteria (Full Service, Grab and Go)
Amazing spot for healthy, high quality and fresh food! Just check out the Yelp pictures to see for yourself. This is a must for healthy travelers
Le Grand Comptoir (Full Service)
Great spot for a high quality, healthy and expensive meal that rivals any non-airport restaurant out there. I mean it has to be good – Travel + Leisure rated it as “best airport hot spot” in 2011!
Camden Food Company (Quick Service, Grab and Go)
The Camden food co. provides healthy menu options to customers who are on the go. They have a wide range of organic and gluten free options.
Umaizushi (Full Service)
Sushi and noodle bowls in terminal C!
Cat Cora’s Kitchen (Full Service)
Iron Chef Car Cora’s spot at IAH uses high quality ingredients (locally sourced where possible) and offers plenty of fresh vegetables. Layer that in with good Yelp reviews (for an airport) and this place is a no brainer for someone who wants a healthy meal at IAH.
Nature’s Kitchen Fresh Cafe (Quick Service)
Quick service with a good amount of healthy options. Pretty good salad options to check out.
The Market ( Quick Service)
Another great option for healthy food in terminal E. Terminal E is killing it!
Jamba Juice (Quick Service)
Jamba Juice is always a great option for smoothies. Some locations also have juices and energy bowls. Just make sure to check the nutrition before you order to make sure you don’t get a sugar bomb!
